Product description
This generic-compatible OSFP transceiver is a 1.6Tbps twin-port OSFP flat-top (OSFP-RHS) DR8 single-mode module with dual MPO-12/APC connectors and 200G-PAM4 modulation, supporting link lengths of up to 500 m over single-mode fiber.
The module is a 1.6T 2×800Gb/s twin-port OSFP, 2×DR4/DR8 single-mode parallel 8-channel optical transceiver using two 4-channel MPO-12/APC optical connectors, with each port running at 800Gb/s. The parallel single-mode short-reach 8 channels (2×DR4/DR8) use 200G-PAM4 modulation and reach up to 500 m over eight single-mode fibers.
It is an ideal solution for supercomputing and high-performance computing (HPC), integrating seamlessly into compute and storage infrastructure for efficient high-performance interconnect. The RHS/flat-top version is designed for liquid-cooled switches.

Supply & compliance FAQ
How do the proposed FCC rules on optical transceivers affect availability?
The FCC rulemaking reported in August 2026 is still a draft. As reported, it would apply to new model authorizations, while models already deployed and shipping would continue to be supplied. Current PhoScale shipments are unaffected, and we hold inventory in our US warehouse. We track the rulemaking closely and publish updates on our Insights page.
Can you provide compliance documentation for your transceivers?
Yes. Every SKU ships with per-unit test reports, and compliance documentation (FCC, FDA laser, RoHS) is available on request as part of our ongoing compliance program.
How do you protect buyers against supply-chain disruption?
Three ways: US-warehouse stock for immediate needs, multi-source manufacturing across tier-one Asian production partners, and allocation planning for project and annual-supply customers. See our Supply Assurance page for details.
What lead times should we plan for on 800G and 1.6T optics?
In-stock models ship from our US warehouse immediately. For volume orders, typical lead times are 2–6 weeks depending on model and quantity — submit an RFQ for a confirmed date against current allocation.
