Product description

This generic-compatible QSFP112 transceiver is a 400Gb/s single-port QSFP112 DR4 single-mode parallel module with a single 4-channel MPO-12/APC fiber interface. The short-reach 4-channel (DR4) design uses 100G-PAM4 modulation and reaches up to 500 m over OS2 single-mode fiber.

The QSFP112 transceiver can be used in QSFP112/QSFP-DD switches and Ethernet adapters. With low latency, low power consumption and high reliability, it uplinks to 800G Ethernet switches in spine-leaf fabrics and interoperates with 400G QSFP-DD or OSFP DR4. When connected with a 1:2 breakout cable, only two channels are active on the branch side — the module automatically runs at 200G with reduced power.

An ideal solution for supercomputing, it integrates seamlessly into compute and storage infrastructure for efficient high-performance interconnect.

Supply & compliance FAQ

How do the proposed FCC rules on optical transceivers affect availability?

The FCC rulemaking reported in August 2026 is still a draft. As reported, it would apply to new model authorizations, while models already deployed and shipping would continue to be supplied. Current PhoScale shipments are unaffected, and we hold inventory in our US warehouse. We track the rulemaking closely and publish updates on our Insights page.

Can you provide compliance documentation for your transceivers?

Yes. Every SKU ships with per-unit test reports, and compliance documentation (FCC, FDA laser, RoHS) is available on request as part of our ongoing compliance program.

How do you protect buyers against supply-chain disruption?

Three ways: US-warehouse stock for immediate needs, multi-source manufacturing across tier-one Asian production partners, and allocation planning for project and annual-supply customers. See our Supply Assurance page for details.

What lead times should we plan for on 800G and 1.6T optics?

In-stock models ship from our US warehouse immediately. For volume orders, typical lead times are 2–6 weeks depending on model and quantity — submit an RFQ for a confirmed date against current allocation.
